WATCH ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR WRIST: THE PROS AND CONS AT A GLANCE!

How do you wear your watch? On your left or on your right wrist? And do you wear your watch on the inside or outside of your wrist? There are quite a few different options for wearing your watch. We would like to list the advantages and disadvantages of wearing a watch on the inside of your wrist.

 

ADVANTAGES OF A WATCH ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR WRIST

Practical:  if you wear your timepiece on the inside of your wrist, you protect it better than if you wear it on the outside. This can be useful, for example, if you are doing odd jobs, but want to keep an eye on the time.

 

Modesty : It is sometimes suggested that wearing your watch on the inside of your wrist is a sign of modesty. You don't want to be 'for sale' with it and therefore omega first copy watches choose not to wear it too visibly.

 

Dial discoloration : Some people claim that when they are outside for a long time, they turn the watch towards the inside of the wrist. This is to prevent the dial from discolouring.

 

No reflection:  when you wear your watch on the inside of your wrist, the glass reflects less quickly from the sun. It is said that soldiers always wore their watch on the inside for this reason. In this way they did not betray their own position towards the enemy.

 

DISADVANTAGES WATCH ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR WRIST

Scratches : if you write a lot in daily life with the side you wear your watch on, this can cause a lot of scratches. So very sinful! A reason for these people to wear it face up.

 

It is not comfortable: it is  often indicated as a disadvantage that it is less comfortable than when you have your dial pointed upwards. However, this is somewhat related to habituation.

 

Watch clock is not seen : when you finally bought that beautiful timepiece, you can only see it yourself because you wear it on the inside of your wrist. You don't want that, do you? Everyone can see which beautiful watch you have bought. Just wear on the outside so with the dial up!
